New Babies have arrived! SOLA PUPPY FRIENDS!

The ever warming sunshine beams, the vibe for puppies itches in the air. Days get longer and the pull to fill homes with flying fur increases. The desire to get feet into the early morning dew intensifies, the hope of filling an old bed and the excitement of everything new floods in as fast as my dogs are shedding out. The tuffs of undercoat remind me of a Cattail plant when it seeds out all over the marsh, spreading in a fury.

Don't fret, many of you will be part of this never ending shedding fuzz fest soon!

I'm trying to get this process completed for at least Sola before her babes show up and I have to increase the heat in her home through the roof.

All this under coat 'wool' of Sola's gets stuffed into nearby branches as the birds come in to take it away for their nests. Up-cycling in nature at its finest. It's always a pleasure to welcome new smiles and excited new faces in to visit with the dogs. I've had the great opportunity this week to let fingers sink into fur and souls connect to a handful of wonderful families. To watch faces of too fresh sorrow turn to a new bright glow in a matter of seconds is why I love what I do. To almost visually see the energy combust within someone when those fingers sink into Isla's zebra honey colored fur is only simply magical. There's no other way to describe this.

With new families coming in, my focus is shifted a few different directions but all with equal value and balanced attention. I love the new energy but also thoroughly soak in the thrill of the energy of these eagerly anticipated souls that are ever so close to diving their eyes into their new forever fur friend. The days tick by faster and faster it seems as Sola's time is nearing quickly. I shift and shuffle families around recently, up and forward as lives change and I try to accommodate these changes to make this timing as ideal as possible. Working with mother nature, we all know that this is never possible but I try with everything I am to make this happen to the best of my ability.

Sola always holds her puppy belly up high and tight but as of this week it's coming down in its beautifully rounded out size. The pups dance on the ultrasound screen and I just sit there watching this party with awe. In a short 10 days we'll know exactly how many are at this party. I'll make sure I post this update at least on my fb page so everyone doesn't have to wait a minute longer. Growth from her is picking up each and everyday now. As you can see from this comparison picture, in just 4 days you can now start to notice the growth more in her. SO Exciting and so so real. Ecstatic beyond belief.

Sola continues to have short bursts of energy, getting her romp time in here and there with the other girls but most of her time it's spent quietly 'baking' her precious little gem babies and just watching the crazy antics around her.

'Ruby' (whom perhaps will be Peach) kicks and dances, 'Emerald' fights for leg space (are you Journey?), 'Onyx' (who could very well be Ollie's Teddy) snuggles into 'Opal' (what will your name be little one?) and the rest of the gem babes are tucked away awaiting the day they get to meet their forever families.

Here's an example of an absolute perfect first meeting of a previous tiny 4 wk old pup meeting one of his forever new humans. This pup is needless to say very much loved in his new home.

Meiko's time for pups will roll around when her time is right and when her timing is perfect for her. Mother Nature is working her magic and blessing me behind the scenes in ways that have yet to surface. She's ever so close though to shifting I'm sure. She's giving me the luxury right now of not having biggie pups and tiny pups at the same time. Thanks sweet girl!

Isla and Leia continue to fill in and out showing off their widening structure each and every day. I have a great love for that perfectly square beautiful rump!

This brings me to my health testing results... drum roll please... exceptional results came in for both Meiko and Leia! For those that follow me on FB, you would have already seen these results but those that do not, here they are. .37/.36 for Meiko and .27/.32 for Leia. .53 is the breed average for hips in golden retrievers so these scores are exceptionally tight for both girls. Meiko was already cleared with OFA but since I've added Pennhip to my program, she got tested along side Leia this past weekend. The trip was a bit rough on my motion sensitive girls but we came prepared with lots of towels and such so it was handled quickly and smoothly as always. They don't travel much so this is always expected. Thrilled beyond thrilled to have these scores on board here.

As we wait for Sola's 'Gem' babies to show up, we can live vicariously through our latest tiny additions here... Welcome the sweetest little 'Crystals'! Tiny little 3 oz. kits! Malachite, Tanzanite, Pyrite, & Carnelian. SOLA PUPPY FRIENDS!

I know some of you are busting at the seams to take on a puppy and a kitten at the same time! Peach wants a friend I know it. Sophie would love a friend as well, hint hint! Or the Reindeer pups are now ready for a friend! No Ollie, not a snack, a friend.

I have a great love for both my dogs and my cats and welcome all the new furry friends in with open arms. New life around here is always exciting and this just gets the ball rolling a bit faster in the anticipation of Sola's babes arriving ever so soon.

SO looking forward to this next stage and what it not only brings for Sola but for so many families as well. Let's spread these smiles as counting down the days gets so very very real.
