OVERVIEW:

Puppies are ready and eager to go to their new homes with you between 7- 8 weeks old. It is in this time pups adapt the best to their new homes and bonding is in the most optimum timeframe.

We offer a **2 yr. Health Guarantee from pups DOB, for inherited genetic, hip, and heart defects only if your puppy has been fed a large breed (Not Grain Free) puppy/dog formula for the whole and complete duration of when you owned this puppy (must have all receipts)

We require a non-refundable holding fee of $500.00 to reserve a puppy placement in a future litter here with us. Holding fees may be paid by Paypal or credit card through our website, or a bank check, money order, or cash. This $500 Holding fee will be applied towards your final puppy purchase price.

All of our puppies come with AKC Limited Registration only. Puppies are English Cream Golden Retrievers; both parents are registered with AKC. A copy of your puppies AKC Limited Registration will be mailed to you within a few weeks of date of adoption.

Puppy price is $4,500 ( + WA sales tax ).

The remainder of the adoption fee is due upon time of puppy pick up. We accept final payment by check 5 days prior to pick up but we accept cash only the day of pick up.

All Puppies come with a 2 yr. Health Guarantee**, Vet report, Health Records, AKC Papers, a personalize puppy folder with lots of information for you to start this journey on the best foot possible!
BREEDER AGREES:
-
Breeder guarantees that puppy has had proper care to date and has been checked by a veterinarian. Puppy has received its initial DAPPv vaccination and been de-wormed regularly. Vaccination records will be given at the time of purchase.

If within 5 days of receiving the puppy and he/she is examined by a reputable veterinarian and the health of the puppy is found to be at serious risk due of euthanasia or immediate death due to an inherited congenital defect (existing at birth), owner shall notify breeder and provide a written statement from a licensed vet describing puppy’s condition and shall return the puppy and papers to the breeder within 2 days of the examination. Breeder will refund the full price of the puppy provided puppy is in the same condition mentally and physically as when originally purchased. This does not include worms, fleas, mites, coccidiosis, giardia, or any other parasites, as they are common in dogs and puppies. Breeder assumes no responsibility for veterinarian or shipping fees. Nor is the breeder responsible if puppy contracts a communicable disease after leaving breeder’s possession. Buyer cannot return pup within these 5 days simply due to a change of decision. If Buyer does so, this will be a full surrender with zero funds returned.

**2 yr. Hip & Heart Guarantee: Because canine hip dysplasia and so many other preventable illnesses are related to poor nutrition, we require that your puppy be fed a large breed puppy/dog formula for their whole 2 yrs. of his/her life in order to qualify for this 2-Year Health Guarantee.

Breeder offers a 2-year hip guarantee on any puppy found to have severely affected hip dysplasia. The following applies: Must contact Hoekema Homestead Goldens within 5 days from the date the specialist examination with confirmation of the diagnosis to inform me the breeder of this condition and to be able to qualify for this guarantee. The puppy must have a new x-ray by your veterinarian to confirm the diagnosis. It must be documented by an official OFA specialist. Upon date recorded, buyer must contact Hoekema Homestead Goldens within 5 days of this OFA report to discuss further action PRIOR to any further medical interventions to be able to qualify for this guarantee.

Breeder offers a 2-year guarantee on any puppy found to have a severe heart murmur. IF recorded @ Grade 5/6 or 6/6. The following applies: The puppy must have a canine cardiologist perform a full and complete (not limited) echocardiogram after this finding to confirm the diagnosis. The following applies: Must contact Hoekema Homestead Goldens within 5 days of these original findings of the grade 5/6 or 6/6 heart murmur to inform me the breeder of this condition and to be able to qualify for this guarantee. We reserve the right to have a second opinion with the dog present for an examination from our veterinarian before any decisions or alterations of the dog take place.

Refund Policy: Upon receipt of all documentation from your veterinarian and the specialists involved that in his/her opinion this condition is inherited and congenital, falls under the requirements listed above and all terms above have been met, only at that time will this guarantee be valid. Buyer will be refunded up to 50% of the puppy purchase price (minus the $500 holding fee, all payment fees and taxes).

In the sudden case of death within this 2-year guarantee, a necropsy will be required to be performed within 72 hrs. of the death. Upon receipt of a letter to us from the necropsy report stating that death is found to be due to a inherited and congenital heart defect that was previously recorded at a 5/6 or 6/6 heart murmur rating with a echocardiogram report, a refund of 50% of the puppy purchase (minus the $500 holding fee, all payment fees and taxes) price will be offered.

Breeder does not guarantee sex, color, size, conformation, championship, contagious diseases (contracting parvo. Giardia, worms, parasites) or temperament/demeanor of any puppy.

Breeder retains the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel this contract at any time and for any reason prior to the puppy reaching 8 weeks of age. If the Breeder opts to cancel this contract, Breeder shall refund Buyer’s holding fee of said cancellation.

Breeder retains the right, at its sole discretion, to retain any puppy before final sale for breeding purposes.

Breeder makes no guarantees regarding the loss of the puppy due to accidental death, theft, sickness due to lack of vaccinations, toxins, any defect or natural illness other than Hips & Heart, etc., or any other loss beyond the Breeder’s control except as stated above.

Breeder has the right to, at any time, decide to stop breeding English Cream Golden Retrievers. In this event, all previous contracts are now null and void, without exception.

Breeder will not refund money in whole or part for any reason other than stated in the Guarantee.

We (Breeder) reserve the right to change our adoption pricing at any time without notice. Pricing listed in any other websites may not be accepted.
BUYER AGREES:

To have their new Golden puppy examined within 5 days of purchase, if desired by a licensed veterinarian to validate this guarantee. If the puppy is returned due to a serious risk of euthanasia or immediate death due to a inherited congenital defect, a verified letter from the veterinarian is required. If this is not performed and documented within this timeframe this Health Guarantee in its entirety is void without exceptions.

If at any time your pet is removed from being fed a large breed food (receipts needed) before the age 2-yrs., the 2-Year Hip, Heart Guarantees specified in this contract becomes void without exceptions.

To register their AKC Reunite microchip that is linked to their puppy before leaving the breeder’s premise for the safety of the pup.

To register their pup with AKC before leaving the breeder’s premise and to use the prefix, Hoekema Homestead. Ex. Hoekema Homestead Sola May

To lovingly provide all annual vet exams and to continue all required vaccinations as recommended by their vet. Failure to comply with and provide documentation of these requirements voids all guarantees.

To provide proper adequate care & warm, dry adequate housing.

The buyer must have the puppy spayed/neutered by two (2) years of age, but not before 12 months of age. Once you have had your puppy de-sexed please have your vet complete a de-sexing certificate. Please be sure to have your vet include- Name, Color, Age, Registration #, Microchip # on the certificate. A copy of certificate should be emailed directly to us here @ Hoekemahomesteadgoldens@gmail.com Failure to comply to the de-sexing requirement will constitute a penalty equal to the full cost of a breeding dog. An additional $10,000 will be due immediately. Any legal fees associated with ensuring that your pet is de-sexed will be incurred by the buyer. If dog is bred or produces any number of puppies this will constitute a fine of $4,500 per puppy born, or $25,000 per litter whichever is greater, payable to Hoekema Homestead Goldens.

The value of the pet for the purpose of this guarantee is solely the original purchase price of the pet, and does not include any additional prices declared by the buyer, such as value of show dog, shipping or training fees.

To inform Hoekema Homestead Goldens of any genetic health issues and or problems with their dog so I the breeder may pay responsible attention to the issues within our breeding lines.
LIMITATIONS OF GUARANTEE
The following will void all Guarantees:

Allowing your Golden to become obese or underfed at any time.
-
Not completing an initial Vet Exam within 5 days of puppy purchase.
-
Dog has been altered in anyway shape or form before contacting us here to discuss further action.

Underfed Goldens: Ribs are highly visible. Ideal Body Condition: Can feel and see outline of ribs.
-
Overfed Goldens: Dog has no waist when viewed from above. Belly is rounded when viewed from the side.
-
Evidence of being fed Grain Free Food
-
Evidence of neglect or abuse.
-
Previous related trauma (broken bones, related injuries, etc.)
-
Dog has been bred.
-
Evidence of Strenuous Exercise – for example: treadmill, jogging, excessive retrieving, extensive hiking.
-
We are not responsible for accidents, negligence or poisonings.
-
This guarantee is non-transferable. Puppy must be owned by the original owner named in this agreement.

In the event the guarantee has been activated in any way, any further coverage of this guarantee is no longer valid.
RETURNS
Should one of our Hoekema Homestead Goldens purchased under this agreement no longer be able to be cared for and need to be re-homed it is required to be returned to the Breeder. Financial re-imbursement is not guaranteed. The buyer/owner is responsible for all transportation expenses, veterinarian charges, crate fees, airfreight charges, and transport fees to and from the involved airports.
