Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

As another Christmas eve is upon us I wanted to send a quick Merry Christmas to all as we head into the night hopefully with friends and family by our sides this year. The pies are baked and chilling, the fridge is packed for wee ones to help prep tomorrow and all the critters are stocked up with all the extras they need headed into this cold snap. Extra hay for goats, extra shavings for the chickens & quail, more blankets for the cats and of course the dogs got fresh warm clean linens, extra rice and beans for dinner and their heater got cranked up a touch higher.

The snow that came in briefly last night was peaceful, calming and lite up the evening for everyone. The kids ran and made tracks everywhere they could and the dogs rolled and romped like they didn't have a care in the world. Retrievers simply don't skip a beat in this cold and absolutely love all the snow that comes in for 'them'. They are going to have a blast I'm sure the next couple of days as we are suppose to get blanketed with sheets of snow to start our Christmas Day in the best way possible. I can't remember the last time we had a white Christmas so this one is going to be extra special.

Sola is just starting to feel the affects of this strange stage in her life where things are starting to shift for her. Always losing races to Meiko now, slowing down day by day. I'm itching with anticipation for this litter of pups as I've planned this litter for a couple of years now and know without a doubt that these pups are going to be nothing short of phenomenal. I am blessed beyond belief to be able to get these loves into just a few of your homes in just a short couple of months. So many families over the years have kept in contact with me sending me pictures of their pups growing up, playing in the rivers, running on trails, loving on toddlers and lengthening the lives of so many. I give up the position of having a 'pet dog' to be able to have the immense opportunity to get so many others their dream pet of owning one of these amazing retrievers. I don't take my dogs off property to keep them as healthy and as safe as possible for you all and just sit back and live through photos that you send me. Of course I love my dogs intensely and to no end and spoil them to great lengths, don't get me wrong. I do indeed though live through the pictures that you send me and love every single one of them. For that I am truly blessed.

I so incredibly look forward to the new year ahead, meeting you all and getting together with so many of you to share in the joy in the upcoming arrival of these new Sola bundles. Although Sola's first possible due date is on New Years Eve, I don't anticipate the arrival of these babes until the 6th through the 9th according to how breeding week played out and when she started to show ect. so sit back and try to be as patient as possible. I am going to try as well to follow my own suggestion even though it's going to be incredibly hard. I'll start sleeping by her side a couple of days before New Years is upon us as I am not going to let her out of my sight. I live for my dogs and this litter is going to be the perfect start to this New Year ahead. I send all my best always to everyone from everyone here on my Homestead.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
