To try to catch up 1 weeks worth of photos, growth, info, stories, details, events, functions and everything in between seems nearly impossible!
Not to mention finding the time to do so!!! I'll try to make this update in a nutshell format so I can get back to these love bugs.
The amount of growth and what these pups learn in just one day seems like a week. and well...they do say, 1 day to a puppy is = to 7 of our days so we are absolutely there.
Meiko's 'Plant' pups are 5 wks. old now and walking, food consuming, romping, squeaking, playing little teddy bears. Doing exceptional with their potty tray and mealtimes in their crates they have nearly perfected.
Isla's 'Toy' pups are 4 wks. and cute as all get out! Totally in love with each and every one of them. They are also doing very well with their potty tray as long as I keep their space on the small side. We are still learning to focus on food in their crates but they are nearly there.
Leia's 'Luxury' Pups are massive babies that are plenty happy to keep their big tummies right on the ground. Being only 7 pups vs. 9 pups makes a huge difference in their rate of growth. They do get around just fine enough to test out their potty tray with success that is growing. They are not yet loving their food as they would rather just sleep but they are goldens so they will pick up on this very quickly and we won't be able to stop them I am sure.
The Toy babies all got their families to come in this weekend to give love and snuggles. We even had an Arizona family on video call in one of the visits. It wasn't the driest or warmest weekend but with a cozy warm pups tucked into coats everyone was ear to ear happy as can be. It was so nice to have everyone in and finally get to meet these amazing little babies.
Sleeping is still a favorite activity and happens double time after a big weekend visit.
The next most favorite activity is FOOD! Even the Luxury babies who are still catching on, everyone of them is full speed ahead! The time consumption for me to do this correctly on this task is endless. It is truly paying off though. Each baby goes into their crate to each their meal, focuses, and then is calmly waiting for me to take them out. Repeat 25 x's x's 3x a day...what is that?...6387 meals? ha!
Music plays continuously in their space shuffling through just about every genre. Thunder storm and city street tracks play as well after I leave. The vacuum cleaner runs daily to not only clean but to keep this exposure as a daily routine so they stay familar. At least weekly nail trim take place so to keep them all soft to the touch but also to keep up with this exposure as well. They all are doing so well with the dremel! So Proud!
Walks in the stroller continue in our brief sunny moments that we have been blessed with. A couple babies get tucked into the snuggle sack and another bushel of babies go in the stroller. They love their walks and by now go straight to sleep without a fuss.
The puppy slide got introduced this week and they conquered and slayed it in a matter of seconds. It's their activity to keep them busy while I feed one of the other litters.
Tonka and Neema have both come in to say hi to the babies without much interest really. They would much rather be busting around after each other outside. Maybe on one of the nicer days we've been having I'll bring a couple outside in the side astroturf area and see if they want to play quietly in there.
The Luxury babies finally get to meet their families Thurs. and Fri. evening this week and then over the next weekend the Plant baby Families get to come back for their private visits to try to figure out which baby is theirs. So exciting! Time is simply flying by way too quickly. I continue to exposure these pups to everything and anything I possibly can. Rotating from one litter to the next and remembering to feed myself somewhere in between. Off running once again to feed out more food!
