Pups fly out the door one by one creating a Christmas morning vibe over and over and over again. Sandy is staying Sandy, Coral is now Sylvie, Bay is Jax, Reef is Jaxxen, Blue is Jasper, Rocky is Angus, Pearl is Koko, Rosemary is Rosie, Thyme is June, Paprika is Pogo, Cayenne is Lola, Basil will stay Basil, Ginger is Lucy, and a few more still un named. Such perfect names for this crew! Smiles and excitement are endless around here!
Getting ready for Gotcha Days and days we had last minute weigh ins (had to get creative so they would sit still!) primped toes, cleaned ears, had baths and got some extra snuggles. Both the Spice Litter and the Beach litter went to the vet for their final check ups and cleared 100% with flying colors. Everyone did fantastic.
Field trip outings are so exhausting they went home and crashed like a yard sale immediately. More babies got washed and primped as our gotcha days continued.
Itchy eager families got their hearts filled, their arms occupied and their lives turned upside down but in the best way possible. Smiles widened as wide as they could go and a few happy tears were shed by all. These pups will continue to go home throughout this week followed by the Bug pups as well. Here's just a few more happy families as they start this chapter in their lives. I am incredibly blessed and honored to have had this opportunity to raise these amazing cream puffs for these wonderful families.
All these Tonka pups were absolutely stunning. Some big and blocky and others small and regal. All perfectly perfect in their own way. So happy with how they all turned out.
It was a challenge for me to raise these babes on my own as my last daughter is in Tanzania once again doing mission work for her 3rd year. So proud of her of course but missed her help! I made it through with her encouragement from a distance.
Meiko visited her forever home yesterday in Mt. Vernon and walked around like she has lived there from the start. She will be spoiled and loved to no end. I couldn't ask for a better retirement home for her. So glad she is close enough to be able to join us for future reunions! She will leave this week where I will make sure she transitions with comfort and ease. I will miss her of course but have full faith and confidence she is in the right place.

The Bug babies are back to owning their very own nursery once again. They have come full circle. Bumblebee is over 12 lbs. now and is the light of the party. Allison and Jerry are going to love him. Dragonfly and Cricket are quieter and more reserved and will need some quiet space in the busy homes they are going to. They will be loved to no end though and I've very much looking forward to seeing them again as well at our reunion next year.
Next weekend nurseries will get broken down, the house washed from top to bottom and all the dogs moved back in together again into their house. Our normal routine will get put back into place and a slower pace will be had by all. My dogs are always happy to get my one on one attention back again once babies go home so that is where my focus will be for awhile. Future planning will be had but for now I breath, slow down, harvest my garden, visit my children, get ready for my grandson to arrive and give myself some much earned self care time. A few more last minute snuggles to the Spice and Beach pups that are left and some last week care items for the Bug pups (vet visit and vaccines) before they meet their families.
It's been an honor everyone. Thank you so very much to all who gave me this opportunity to change your world.
