Happy Memorial Day to each and everyone out there sharing their glorious long weekend with me! Camping with fur kids, hiking with friends, pups taking on their first creek adventure, swimming with friends, playdates with brothers and sisters, sun lounging and endless fun for furries and 2-leggeds alike. I thank you all for pulling me into your world as you take on many firsts, many repeat adventures, learning a ton and enjoying every minute of everyday.

My dogs always keep me grounded literally and figuratively. My home is my home base in more ways than one. This is where I love and thrive though so it's a win win really.

It's been such a glorious week with sunshine for days that warms the earth and every crack there is. Yes the mamas are resting this week but they are also just sun basking as it's one of their most favorite things to do prego or not.

We have bellies for days around here. It's evident Meiko is not just having a few babes! Isla is also showing signs that she's going to be blessing more than many families. Leia is popping out this week and filling out beautifully big as well. Our nursery will have tiny loves in every corner here very soon!

We are on a count down now of 12 days. The moments tick past quicker than I realize as I bustle around here getting everything in my surrounding space in order. Lots of yard and garden work this week. Snapping up everything so when the pups come I am able to simply maintain and nothing more. New little plants sing their emerging glory as they are happily reaching for the sunshine merely content to be alive. I let them thrive and just take in the energy of this concept of loving life. It's been a great week.

Little (big) Anya entertains us all with her endearing puppy antics. Always sitting and lounging on her sister at every chance she can get. She also got the opportunity with this warm weather to figure out that she LOVES the hose! The other dogs aren't so keen on the forceful water but she was right in there not giving a care in the world that she would be soaked to the bone right before bedtime. Such a fun game! When she's not romping and rolling with her sister she is right beside me holding my feet down.

Tonka is so hard to get photos of as if I even look in his general direction he wants to be right in my lap. SUCH a lover this boy is! I get updates all the time (LOVE them all!) from families with his pups and how similar their pups personalities are to his. Of course my heart is soaring hearing this as this is my goal. Wee Tonk pups changing lives.

So many happy smiley dogs this week it was truly difficult to not spend all my time just sitting in the hot sand with them. Sitting in the sand with them sound glorious but then I get a tongue in each ear, 3 dogs in my lap and the other 3 washing my face for me. Joys of pack life! Other times they do stay put in their sun spaces though and I am able to snuggle with just 1...or 2. It's all love though and love I hardly ever turn down.

So as these belly bumps continue to grow I orchestrate what is ahead and look forward to every moment. This week ahead I will be setting up the nurseries so at least Meiko can start to settle and nest. All 3 nurseries will be set up and prepped before Meiko's 'Spice' babies show up so there is zero commotion around her space as she labors and settles in with her new pile of loves. We'll get the 'Spice' kids settled and the 'Beach' babes should show up 6 days later.. trailing 6 days later by Leia's 'Bug' babies.

I am hoping for average size litters of 9 or 10 and of course a smooth and eventless entry into this world. A breeder friend of mine saw 6 pups on her ultrasound image a few weeks ago and just went in to her vet for a puppy count x-ray and as it turns out 13 pups will be showing up for her!!! I send the mama to be and her team all the strength!

I have done puppy count x-rays in the past but will not be doing them this time round. You can only do them 1 week prior to birth but the stress that it puts on the mamas bringing them into a vet office this late in pregnancy has proven to me that it's not worth the added stress at all. I had a couple of intense not so pleasant experiences with doing this and I just won't go that route again. I am with them every single second until they are way past done with their last pup delivered so final pup count will be a surprise for us all.

Anya and Neema continue to surround everyone with sweetness and entertainment as we head into our last couple weeks without pups squeals in every corner. June 6th, 12th & 18th is right around the corner! Hang tight everyone!
