A week of Gratitude

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving filled with everyone and everything wonderful. Sharing time with family, friends, loved ones and fur friends of course. I am thankful beyond belief at how many of you shared updated photos of your pups and to boast about how well they all did with the hustle and bustle of your gatherings. Dogs quietly greeted guests, roamed the additional new legs in their homes, nudged toddlers hands looking for strange snacks and slept under the Turkey table hoping for tid bits to drop. Consuming half a box of crumble cookies I think was the only mishap I heard of over the holiday week. Naughty Dug! (Dug is perfectly fine thank goodness)

I am grateful for so many things this week, health, happiness, family, safety, fur friends, and the abundance that we have the luxury to have here. I am also grateful for the many smooth, natural births my girls have had here over the years without complications. A dear breeder friend of mine recently went through a delivery that didn't unfold the way she hoped, and it was a reminder of how precious and unpredictable this journey can be. Silver lining - mama and all her babies are healthy, and thriving on the other side. For that, my heart is full. Another Breeder friend of mine is doing exceptionally well with her almost 3 week old litter of pups and has everyone thriving and starting to blossom. Love to all!

We are now in the thick of the winter months here and I am grateful that my girls are sticking close to what I had hoped would be a pretty good estimation on their cycle dates this time round, of coming into season in Dec. with pups going home in April. Waking up to take the dogs out this morning at 27 degrees was a bit of a shock to the system ,to say the least!

I am thankful for pups whenever mother nature chooses to blesses us, but spring litters are truly my favorite. My mamas can stay cozy through the long, frigid months while they 'bake' their babies, and then welcome their pups just as the early spring warmth returns and the rain starts to lift. Your continuing potty training once pup goes home is a lot more manageable and kind to you both. By the time the summer months roll around and your new pup is fully vaccinated, you can hit the trails and beaches with full freedom and peace of mind.

Even though none of my girls have shifted as of yet, everyone here is plenty frisky lately with pre cycling 'practice activities' for all.

A sign that we are working into our first chapter of this exciting new journey ahead for so many. This photo a bit too much info!?! ha!

Stay healthy, warm and cozy as the magical holiday season is upon us. From all of us here, we are grateful for you all.
